Judgment
What Was the 8,000 Afghani Payment For?
1. Hamid accepts that he and Farzana agreed on a marriage payment of 20,000 AFN. He says that he paid Farzana 8,000 AFN toward that payment and that she signed a receipt for the cash. He acknowledges that the receipt does not identify the purpose of the payment. Hamid says that 12,000 AFN remains payable.
2. The 8,000 AFN paid by Hamid shall be credited against the marriage payment. The remaining payment is limited to 12,000 AFN.
Order
