Judgment
The Missing Market Signs
1. Having heard the parties, I find Caleb Mercer responsible for the late signs and the cost of replacement.
2. The amount awarded for the undelivered signs is $500, rather than $800, because the phone call was confusing and could be interpreted in either way. The amount is therefore based on the cost stated in Caleb Mercer’s sheet.
3. Caleb Mercer shall pay Elena Brooks $500 for the undelivered signs and $150 for the replacement signs, for a total of $650. Payment shall be made directly to Elena Brooks within 24 hours.
4. Caleb Mercer shall admit fault and take accountability for the failure to deliver.
