Signed judgment

1. The Court finds that the plaintiff had a legitimate grievance in relation to the broken fan during the tenancy. 2. The defendant did not address the plaintiff’s complaint in time. The Court accepts that this was due to her misjudgment that the fan did not require repair at that stage. 3. After the plaintiff vacated the premises, the defendant observed the fan and realised that it was in fact wobbly, broken and in need of repair. 4. In these circumstances, the Court holds that the plaintiff is entitled to succeed. Order 5. The deducted sum of Rs. 6,000 shall be returned to the plaintiff, so that the entire deposit is refunded.
